The Philosophy Behind Turner Trace

It is true that each generation "stands upon the shoulders" of preceding generations.  It is also true that each design philosophy draws from, learns from, and sometimes improves upon each preceding discipline, each preceding style.

Sometimes lost however, is the truth that some architectural styles, some planning philosophies, become so well accepted, and perform so well, that they are considered Classic and Timeless.  Our mission is to blend the best of both worlds, Old and New, and provide communities of Quality, Value and Character, at a Human Scale, that create a Sense of Place. A place you always remember as home.  A Living Place for today's families.

Inspired by Williamsburg, Georgetown, Savannah and even new towns such as Celebration, Florida and New Albany, Ohio, the Village of Turner Trace will raise the bar and set a new standard of quality.  Quality not only measured in quality of architecture and cost of homes, but more importantly, Quality of Life for all of its residents.

Admittedly, Turner Trace is not for everyone, but that's exactly the point.  Virtually everything about Turner Trace is elegant and refined - designed for the discriminating.  For many reasons, the village is destined to become the most recognizable and desired address on Indy's Westside.

Thoughtfulness and great attention to detail guided the design of Turner Trace.  Details not even considered in most communities are of great importance here.  Design elements such as "outdoor rooms", "street walls", and "streetscapes" are very important to us - and to you - because they relate to human scale.  When planning this community our desire was to design a living place for people not for cars.

In designing Turner Trace we were not at all interested in how efficiently automobiles negotiated our streets, we were interested only in how well Turner Trace "lives".

This Philosophy of Design is guided by a very specific set of Principles.  These Principles are what guide us in our vision for The Village of Turner Trace, and are an integral part of what makes The Village of Turner Trace A Very Special Place.  These Principles help form the basis of Community.
